The actress suggested the behaviour may have followed her refusal to attend the organiser’s home as a guest.
Who Was Arrested by the police?
West Bengal Police arrested three people on January 29 2026, for their suspected involvement in the case. The main accused is event organiser Tanay (or Tanmay) Shastri, along with two of his associates. The police arrested the suspects after they confronted Shastri at his home, where an alleged struggle occurred during police efforts to execute their responsibilities.
Charges and Legal Process Ahead
The Bongaon Police Station received Mimi Chakraborty’s email complaint,t which led to the arrests. The accused now faces charges related to harassment and public humiliation. The court will schedule both bail hearings and upcoming legal proceedings.

The arrests remain unaddressed by Chakraborty because she has not spoken about them to the public at any time from her first statement until the present. The event organisers reported that the situation had been exaggerated because they needed to wait for program events to start according to their planned schedule.
