A free animal clinic was opened in Dhaka’s Banani area by Tarique Rahman, who is the chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the top patron of the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association (BAWA).
The clinic opened for business on February 11, 2026. Building No. 18 in K Block, Road 24 (Lekpar), Banani is where it is. The goal of the project is to improve the welfare of animals in cities by making veterinary care easier to get and less expensive.
