Benzema Claims 9th League Title as Al-Ittihad Secures Saudi Crown

By helping Al-Ittihad win the Saudi Pro League, Karim Benzema won his 9th league title, which he also won with Lyon and Real Madrid.

Karim Benzema now has another trophy after Al-Ittihad sealed the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League title with time remaining in the season. With this championship, Benzema has more league titles than his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has in the Middle East.

With Ronaldo reaching 23 goals in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Nassr, Benzema is only one step behind with 21 in his total. In spite of the rivalry in the statistics, both players still show immense respect for each other.

He has now won league trophies in many different parts of the world:

  • Four Ligue 1 championships with Lyon (2004-2008)
  • Real Madrid won the league four times while I was part of the team (2011-2022).
  • Al-Ittihad’s achievement of the Saudi Pro League title in the 2024-25 season

As a result, Benzema has once again proved he is one of the most reliable champions in the sport. Even after moving away from Real Madrid, the Ballon d’Or winner has gone on to show that he is a true champion.
