It is an honorable moment for the Bangladesh people as the standard of their Dhallywood is rising at the global stages with the movies and short films like ‘Ali’, ‘Sand City’, ‘NeelChokro: Blue Circle’, and ‘Dui Shae & Saba’. In the successful streak of all these movies director and writer Golam Rabbani’s ‘Antang’ short film has been selected in the Waterloo Film Festival for its premier which is scheduled at Durban.
‘Antang’ is about the strongest societal message as its theme is the ‘freedom of speech’ and the fundamental right of people to express themselves without any hurdles. The leading characters will be encountering repression, censorship and personal dilemmas in a story which is clutched between politics and human emotions.
