On 28 May 2025, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus, left the country to attend the Nikkei Forum of Asia and to take part in the bilateral discussions. The first day of his schedule has been revealed from the official social media pages of the Chief Adviser and he attended the Nikkei Forum Future of Asia. It is an annual international conference held in Tokyo and today is remarked as the 30th edition of this conference.
Following that a remarkable announcement has been announced by Japan that they have planned to recruit over one lakh workers from Bangladesh in the next five years. During the Bangladesh Seminar on Human Resources held at Tokyo’s Toshi Kaikan conference hall, the Chairman of Japan’s National Business Support Combined Cooperatives, Mikio revealed it officially.
The given reports states that two MoUs has been signed between Japan and Bangladesh,
- Bangladesh’s Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) and Kaicom Dream Street (KDS), a Japan-Bangladesh joint venture.
- BMET and Japan’s National Business Support Combined Cooperatives (NBCC), a federation of over 65 Japanese companies, along with Japan Bangla Bridge Recruiting Agency (JBBRA).
