Today was the final unofficial ODI face off between Bangladesh A and New Zealand A and it was scheduled at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.Both the teams aimed to give their best performance, on one hand Bangladesh A team aimed to finish the ODI series by white washing their opponent. Meanwhile, NZ A were trying to find a grip and seize their victory. The game began with the toss won by New Zealand A who chose to field first.
A Consolation Victory
Bangladesh A began their game with a little disappointment in the opening but later, Saif Hassan and Yasir’s partnership placed their team to travel forward in garnering more runs for their team. The middle order fell down quickly yet, Nasum’s anchoring 67 runs helped them to chalk up 226 as target for NZ A.
New Zealand A’s positive intent from the beginning of their game has helped them to reach their target safely even after losing 6 wickets. No big run scorers but each player’s crucial 30 runs has majorly helped to seal the victory. At 48.2 overs NZ A reached their target and finished off the ODI series with a consolation victory. With a lot more takeaway from all the three matches both the teams will be more precise in expressing their strategic move in the upcoming two test matches.
