Former skipper of Bangladesh who is known for his smart batting, and delivering a consistent innings despite the pitches, is the only batsmen to score double centuries against Sri Lanka in the Test format which is scheduled in the Sri Lankan venue. Though there are many successors registered their centuries on the soil of Sri Lanka, his record remains unbeaten since 2013. Also, he holds the pride of becoming the first Bangladesh batsman to score both century and double century against SL.
