The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the Men’s Cricket Team’s Bilateral T20 series planned to be held in UAE. On Saturday, 10 May, the BCB revealed that the team will travel to the UAE for a two match series while also held back from defining a date or plan for the team’s Pakistan series.
Bangladesh team is scheduled to play two T20s with the UAE Men’s Cricket Team at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE in May. Planned to be played on 17 and 19 May 2025, the Bangladesh Team also had another series against Pakistan at the end of May. The BCB is now undecided on the series in Pakistan.
Due to the border tension between India and Pakistan, Bangladesh Cricket Board is now reconsidering their plan of flying to Pakistan for the Five match T20 series. It is to be noted that both the IPL and PSL are now postponed due to the conflict that escalated to armed attacks between the nations.
“As part of its continued commitment to international engagement and preparation, the Bangladesh National Team will tour the সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাত (UAE) for a two-match T20 International series against the host nation as scheduled. The series is set to commence next week,” said the BCB directors who gathered at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, reports cricbuzz.
It is also reported that the BCB is in talks with Pakistan Cricket Board to ensure the safety of the players if the tour is to happen on the planned dates of 23 May to 3 June. The safety of the players and the support staff is the Board’s highest priority which is notable as the foreign players who were in Pakistan for the PSL and in India for IPL were flown back to their countries to ensure safety.
