Bangladesh Women’s team set themselves as a successful team after surpassing their struggling initial innings with the available resources. All their journey began in 2007 with limited exposure and facilities, they were able to garner feeble wins as they remain on the fringes of global cricket.
They encountered a breakthrough as a team through the consistent effort and talent development which helped them to qualify for the major ICC events. In 2018, they registered a historical milestone by defeating one of the successful teams in world cricket, India in the Asia Cup tournament. This team has witnessed a number of skippers to lead them in ODI and T20 formats but skipper Nigar Sultana shines as a distinctive leader for leading the playing XI Bangladesh Women’s into the crucial tournaments of both national and international tournaments. The asset of all these victories reflected on their ICC Rankings within the top 10 spots in both the formats. By being consistently a stronger team they have evolved as the inevitable squad with passion of all time.
