ICC Women’s ODI World Cup kicked off in 1973 in England and this great event is taking place regularly with the interval of four years (which is also called a quadrennial) between every edition. Like the men’s team, the Australian Women’s team has been dominating the table of champions with seven trophies for their country followed by England with four trophies in their hall of fame and New Zealand with one. Sadly, no Asian team including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan haven’t lifted the trophies yet.

This year has been the year of first time trophy lifters in both cricket and football. Cricket is no exception from such superstitious beliefs, and fans have begun to predict that this year definitely could be a new champion who have never lifted their ICC Women’s WC. Team Bangladesh in ICC Women’s WC
In 2022, the Bangladesh Women’s team participated in their first ever ICC World ODI World Cup and they were at the 7th position while leaving the tournament at the group stage. With much experience and lots of home and away tours the skipper Nigar Sultana believes her girls have the power to lift their first trophy during their second presence in the ICC Women’s ODI WC 2025.
