Nurul Hasan, a smart right-hand batsman and a right-arm off break who is known for his sharp glove work and gritty batting. Though his appearance in the national and international games can be fewer, Nurul proved himself through his consistent performance in domestic cricket. It has been a controversial move carried out by the Bangladesh Cricket Association for choosing the experienced players into the national team over the young and other domestic players who played hardly in the international games, for the past few years.

- Scored unbeaten century – BAN A vs NZ A ODI (7 May 2025)
- Nurul is the leading run-scorer in 2024-2025 National Cricket League T20
- He excelled as a great leader by being the skipper of Rangpur Riders in BPL 2025.
Both his consistency and experience could lend stability to the middle order that often crumbles during the crucial and the under pressure matches of Bangladesh. Yet, he remains absent from big tournaments and crucial series and this ignoring of Hasan is no longer justifiable. Yet, Hasan showcased the positive attitude towards this,
“If I could have been regular, my career might have been different. I feel like I didn’t seize the opportunity. It could have been for any reason. But of course there will be regrets. Playing for the national team is a matter of pride. I still dream about it. The day this dream is no longer there, I will stop playing cricket.” said Nurul Hasan Sohan
Fans claim that Sohan deserves a place in the playing XI of the national team in all the three formats.
