At the fag end of the আইপিএল ২০২৫ season, RCB and DC have some important call fruitful series due to non-availability of their regular players. RCB have recalled Mayank Agarwal for the match because Devdutt Padikkal is injured, while in the DC camp, the team has signed Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal due to Harry Brook’s unavailability. All these players are singled out as defensive maneuvers made by the two teams with the hope of enhancing their line up given that both the teams are fighting for playoff spots.

RCB Replace Injured Padikkal with Veteran Agarwal

RCB faced an adverse event as their key player in the batting department Devdutt Padikkal was declared out of the series due to a hamstring injury. To meet this demand, the franchise has signed Mayank Agarwal from Karnataka, thus strengthening up its batting order. Agarwal, 34, is back to RCB for INR 1 crore and will play for the team with which he began his IPL journey in the year 2011. In the time when he was a part of RCB, he has played 35 matches in total and scored 492 runs with the striking rate of 128.79.

Padikkal, one of the RCB’s most reliablecontributors this season, had scores 247 runs in ten innings on 150.60 strike rate. He was left hand at a time when the majority of batting order at RCB was right hand side. He thanked the Hyderabad Sunsrisers coaching team – Dinesh Karthik and Andy Flower for the technical inputs that made him transform in this season. RCB, who are now just one more win away from their place in playoffs, are set to play against Lucknow Super Giants.

DC Sign Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal to Replace Harry Brook

Delhi Capitals have recruited 23-year-old left-hand opening batsman Sediqullah Atal to replace Harry Brook who has withdrawn the IPL for the second year in a row. This could lead to Brook suspended from playing IPL cricket for two years consecutively. Atal goes to DC for INR 1.25 crore, the base price set by him in the beginning of the auction.

Atal too has been good in T20 cricket where he scored 1507 runs in 49 T20 games at an average of 34.25 with a strike rate of 131.27. His recent knock of 85 against Australia in the Champions Trophy I would say wants him well set for such competition. He has also played for MI Cape Town in SA20 in the past.

Hemang Badani has touted Atal’s raw talent and believes his presence will strengthen DC ahead of occupancies of the top four slots.
