If you have applied for a BRTA smart driving license in Bangladesh, the easiest way to track your progress is through the BRTA Service Portal. The portal provides learner licenses, smart card driving licenses, renewals, duplicate licenses and other related services. It also provides payment verification and other license-related tools under one roof.
How to Log in to the BRTA Service Portal
Firstly, go to the BRTA Service Portal bsp.brta.gov.bd. If you already have an account, sign in with your credentials. Or register with your NID (National ID) and date of birth. Once logged in, you can view your driving licence application details, exam results and status updates. The portal displays different stages of the application process, such as document verification and approval status.
Smart License Status verification
Once logged in, locate your driving licence application in the relevant service (e.g. smart card driving licence). If your smart card is already in the printing stage, the status may be listed as ‘Application Approved’ or ‘Ready for Print’.

- Ref. No.
- Driving licence no.
- Barcode/QR code scanning
- This app is especially useful for the smart card driving licenses issued after July 2021.

After doing the required steps, log in to your BRTA profile and see if the option to download the temporary document is available for your application stage. This temporary document is valid as proof of driving permission until the physical smartcard is issued.bsp.brta+1 Getting Your Smart Card (Physical)
BRTA says that you will be informed via SMS when your smart card is printed. If you opted for delivery, your license can be mailed to your home address. To make sure that delivery and updates are smooth:
- Please keep your mobile number updated in the portal.
- Keep checking the portal until the status changes to “Card Delivered” or similar.
