The decision drew stinging criticism from within Bangladesh’s cricketing community. Tamim Iqbal, the current BCB ad-hoc committee chief, said the situation was not handled well and that Bangladesh should have pursued further dialogue with the ICC rather than forfeit a major global tournament entirely.
