Dance is an exquisite form of expressing a human emotion in an elegant way and this yearly observance ‘International Dance Day’ promotes & supports the traditional and deeply rooted dance forms across the globe. This day falls on 29 April, which is today and to make this day look vibrantly memorable the Shilpakala Academy has planned for a two day festival titled ‘Mukto Surer Chhondo’ which means “Free-Spirited Rhythms”.
The inaugural ceremony features the ace filmmaker and the acclaimed cultural adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. He graced the event’s first day as the chief guest. The two days are wrapped with an impressive dance lineup by diverse dance troupes across the nation which aligns ideally with the aim of this festival that is ‘celebrating, fostering and encouraging the varied ethnic dance forms of Bangladesh’.
