Some victory doesn’t need any spotlight forcefully, it travels across the world naturally. So, does this young team of Bangladesh are making history in every ODI match they are playing against Sri Lanka. The fourth ODI match between Bangladesh U19 and Sri Lanka U19 took place on 3 May 2025 at Colombo Cricket Club Ground. Bangladesh U19 team was in upper hand from the toss and they chose to bat first.
Strong Scoreboard & Scumbling Chase!
Even the scoreboard felt the weight of the anchoring strike of Zawad Abrar who backed his team with his astonishing 113 runs off 115 balls. Followed by Rizan Hosan’s powerful 82 and Abdullah’s satisfying 32. At the end of the 50 overs, they chalked up the total of 336/8 for their opponents.
Sri Lanka has been struggling from the beginning and their top order batsman Dulnith and Rehan disappointed by losing their so early. And the other batsmen continue to lose their wickets back to back. Amidst this heartbreaking struggling chase skipper Vimath Dinsara’s hopeful knock pacified a little. Yet they lost all their wickets at 190.
In the 6 ODI, Bangladesh U19 had secured three wins and they were just one hit away from lifting the trophy of this series. Whereas, Sri Lanka U19 also have a hope but they have to seal their victory in the upcoming two matches which are scheduled on 5 and 8 May 2025 respectively.
