Bangladesh A team has lifted their unofficial ODI Series Trophy by defeating the New Zealand A by a greater margin on 7 May 2025. The three ODI series kicked off on Monday and Bangladesh A excelled in their first match itself. With the hope of coming back stronger and poising series New Zealand A elected to bowl first after winning their toss in the 2nd ODI that was held today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh A team began their attacking batting from the beginning and stunned the bowlers of New Zealand. The promising start of Mohammad Naim & Anamul Haque had set the stage for the two strong middle order batters Mahidul and Nurul. They left the bowlers with no clue of how to resist their swashbuckling performance. Both the batters, Mahidul and Nurul Hasan registered their fourth and fifth century in the A cricket respectively. Their anchoring partnership set a commanding scoreboard of 344/5 against NZ A.
A Valiant Chase of NZ A
New Zealand A had the hope of chasing down their target when Dale Philips fought with his classy shots and gave life to the struggling chase. Yet both the pacers and spin of BAN A constrained the batting lineup of New Zealand A within 257 and won the game by 87 runs.
