In a massive counterterrorist exercise christened “Operation Sindoor”, Indian forces decimated five top terrorists of Pakistan-based terror organisations Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba ( LeT) in strikes carried out on May 7.

The nuisance amongst terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) was carried out and left some key persons out of their leadership positions.

  1. Mudassar Khadian Khas (Abu Jundal)– a LeT Leader who oversaw the Markaz Taiba camp the 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab was trained at.
  2. Hafiz Muhammed Jameel –JeM operative and brother-in-law of founder Maulana Masood Azhar.
  3. Mohammad Yusuf Azhar – Weapons Trainer for JeM and the 1999 IC-814 Hijacking.
  4. Abu Akasha (Khalid) – LeT operative who orchestrated the smuggling of weapons out of Afghanistan
  5. Mohammad Hassan Khan – a member of JeM who planned terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir

Pictures of senior Pakistani military officers appearing at these terrorists’ grievings are circulated extensively, and Khas’s supposedly had a guard of honor organized by the Pakistan Army. These pictures are strong proofs of Pakistani state’s support for terrorism.

The attack followed a recent terror attack in Pahalgam during which 26 lives were lost. Indian authorities trace this massacre to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists across the border.
