Bangladesh Plane Crash: 19 People including 16 students and 2 teachers were killed after a F – 7 BGI Aircraft fighter jet crashed into the Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara neighbourhood on Monday afternoon. 

16 students and 2 teachers along with the Pilot who is unconfirmed but reported as Flight Lieutenant Taiquir were killed with over 50 people injured in the crash. The flight F – 7 BGI  is an advanced version of the Chinese Aircraft J-7 fighter aircraft and one of 16 (now 15) operated by the Bangladesh Air Force.

Local reports suggest that the F – 7 BGI was on its routine flight as it crashed. Many videos and footage of the crash shared online shows smoke and wreckage from the site. Another devastating footage from the site and underneath the rubble and plane debris is what used to be a classroom.  

Emergency personnels and other public rushed towards the burning school building as the crash site was shot from a distance in another video. The number of victims and injured are yet to be confirmed. 

“A third-grade student was brought in dead, and three others, aged 12, 14 and 40, were admitted to the hospital,” Reuters quoted Bidhan Sarker, head of the burn unit at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital
