To celebrate International Workers Day in style, Duronto TV will air a special dance production called “Nongor Tolo Tolo” on the day of the holiday May 1 at 11:30 AM. This dance has a cast of actors that include Imi, Piu, Pushpita, Sinthi, Arpita, Ira, Shreshta, Labiba, Silva, Sadia, Sizan, Sifat, Arjun, Mahmuda, Samyadeep, Rimi, and Tandra.
International Workers Day or May Day is a national holiday in Bangladesh and is commemorated with numerous events like rallies, cultural activities and seminars. The day is representative of the labor movement towards its struggle for equal wages and good working conditions and fair treatment for all employees and honors the individuals who have risen up to fight for their dignity and justice in the workplace.
Nongor Tolo Tolo embodies what is the essence of May Day, artfully reflecting the strength and unity of the working class. The performance aims to empower and enlighten the audience about labor movements and the power of collective action through music and dance. Directed by Partha Pratim Halder, “Nongor Tolo Tolo” is a dance performance choreographed by M R Wasek, set to host mass songs and performed by the dancers of Nandankala Kendra.
