Who can attend the ‘Nazrul Concert 2025’ taking place in Dhaka?

All eyes are now turned towards the ‘Nazrul Concert 2025’ which is set to light up Dhaka’s Manik Mia Avenue today, 31 May 2025. The event will kick off at 5 pm to 10 pm and it is a heartfelt tribute to the acclaimed and rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. It is organized by the Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. ‘Nazrul Concert 2025’ will be an open-air event which vibrant mix of music and poetry with the presence of ten leading Bangladeshi bands which includes Warfaze, Souls, Dalchhut, Ark and SHironamhin who will perform live, reinterpreting the powerful lyrics of the legendary Nazrul. 

It is free for all the attendees and the interested people can attend this wonderful event to celebrate the legacy of Nazrul through these modern sounds. But the organisers are requesting the attendees to arrive at the venue a little earlier. /\\[Alongside the concert, the recitation of the poetry will also take place which reflects the profoundness of his creativity. And a special rock album will be launched on this special day. This concert is expected to be a unique fusion of heritage and contemporary expression.

“Following the mass uprising of 2024, Kazi Nazrul Islam was officially declared the National Poet by the government. This album aims to present his powerful songs in a format more appealing to the present generation. We welcome this initiative and will perform Nazrul songs at Manik Mia Avenue today. We invite everyone to come and enjoy the concert.” – Hasan, lead vocalist of Ark.
