On the 15th of October 2025, not too many extensive changes could be observed in the currency market worldwide. The Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) had a different kind of movement against most of the foreign currencies. What is the position of the BDT against the US Dollar, Euro, Indian Rupee, Pakistani Rupee, and Russian Ruble today?

Taka vs US Dollar (USD)

After a long time, the Taka of Bangladesh is even able to challenge the greenback. The exchange rate is around 121.50 Taka per one dollar, with not much market fluctuation being observed. In the form of Taka, one dollar will bring you approximately 0.0082 dollars, which shows that the exchange environment is quite stable.

Taka vs Euro (EUR)

Compared to the Euro, the Taka is slightly weaker. The current exchange rate for the Euro is approximately 142 Taka for 1 Euro, and looking from the other side, 1 BDT equates to approximately €0.007. All this tells us is that the Euro is still very strong against the Asian currencies.

Taka vs Indian Rupee (INR)

The Indian Rupee is still the main force over the Taka, thus 1 INR is as much as around 1.37 Taka. On the contrary, 1 BDT is equal to ₹0.73, which points out that the difference between the two South Asian currencies is not only regional but also quite small and stable.

Taka vs Pakistani Rupee (PKR)

In comparison with the Pakistani Rupee, the Bangladeshi Taka is virtually of the same value; still, a definite conversion rate cannot be given as it is fluctuating. Typically, 1 PKR is converted to a range of 0.63 to 0.65 Taka, which is the outcome of the two countries having both similar economic situations and trade patterns.

Taka vs Russian Ruble (RUB)

The Bangladeshi Taka is a bit less strong than the Russian Ruble. To be exact, 1 BDT can get you about 0.66 rubles; however, 1 RUB is roughly equal to 1.50 Taka. Although the global oil price changes have a great influence on the Ruble, this currency pair does not seem to be very volatile.

Market Outlook

Even though the Taka of Bangladesh is slowly losing its value against international currencies such as the USD and EUR, it is, however, still managing to hold a relatively strong position when compared to regional currencies like INR and PKR.

That is why experts are saying the Taka will be greatly affected by monetary policy decisions, trade balances, and remittance inflows in the last quarter of 2025.
