Eid Al Adha 2025: Bangladesh announces extensive long leave for travels

Eid Al Adha is approaching with the sighting of the crescent of Dhul Hijjah is predicted to be sighted in the days approaching this weekend, Bangladesh is preparing for it by announcing an extensive and long holiday. 

A generous 10 day holiday with the crescent moon sighting is likely to happen on 7 June 2025, Saturday, making the 6 – 8 June 2025 as the holiday weekend for the believers. The Bangladesh Interim Government has announced the benevolent public holiday for Eid-ul-Adha. 

While the exact sighting for the Eid-ul-Adha is yet to be confirmed this public holiday announcement will be giving time beyond the weekend for the public to unwind and celebrate. 

Countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Australia and Indonesia celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on 6 June 2025. While countries like Pakistan, Malaysia, Brunei, India and Bangladesh are celebrating on 4 June 2025, reports Gulf News.
