The Land Service Fair 2026 has officially commenced across the country today, on May 19, offering young Bangladeshis an unprecedented opportunity to check their family land records quickly and transparently. Simultaneously in all 64 districts, 490 upazilas and divisional levels, the three-day fair is being held until May 21. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the event at 10:30 AM today at Bhumi Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka. Why this fair matters

Secure Land, Prosperous Future” and aims to deliver simplified, transparent and automated land services directly to citizens’ doorsteps and raise awareness about digital land administration. The government wants to get rid of corruption and harassment in land-related services and ensure accountability in all sectors.

How to Search Family Land Records
Step 1: Go to the Fair Near You
The fair can be visited at all the upazila land complexes, district land offices and divisional headquarters. For example, in Faridpur, it will be held at the district and upazila levels from May 19 to 21. The fair in Narayanganj will be held at the Upazila Land Complex next to Khanpur Hospital.
Step 2: Collect Important Documents
What you will need:
- Khatian no. (if known)
- Plot or Holding Number
- Name of the owner from prior records
- Name of Mouza/Village where the land is situated
- Identification of family members when checking inheritance records
