National Tree Plantation Award 2024: 21 Individuals & Organisations as Nominees Announced

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Bangladesh announced the final nominees of 21 individuals and organisations in seven categories for the ‘National Tree Plantation Award 2024’. Recognising and rewarding the contributions of people and institutions towards tree planting greenery initiatives in support of environmental conservation.

Category ‘Ka’ (Educational Institutions)

  • Dalgram Bi-Mukhi High School from Lalmonirhat (First place) 
  • Government Michael Madhusudan College, Jashore (Second Place)
  • Jhenaidah Textile Engineering College (Third Place).

Category ‘Kha’ (Government and Non-Government Institutions)

  • Office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Manikchhari, Khagrachari (First place) 
  • Kushtia Zila Parishad (Second Place)
  • Barind Multipurpose Development Authority, Rajshahi (Third Place).

Category ‘Ga’ (Individual Tree Plantation)

  • Dilruba Rahman from Tangail (First Place)
  • Muhammad Yusuf from Chattogram (Second Place)
  • Hasina Akhter from Lalmonirhat (Third Place)

Category ‘Gha’ (Private Nurseries)

  • Sohel Nursery from Rangpur (First place)
  • Janani Garden Center, Munshiganj (Second Place)
  • Mou Nursery, Tangail (Third Place)

Category ‘Uo’ (individual/institutional Rooftop Gardens)

  • Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Natore (First place)
  • Regional Election Office, Rajshahi (Delowar Hossain and Sabina Yasmin) (Second Place)
  • Nashuha Sadaf of Chattogram (Third Place)

Category ‘Cha’ (Gardens established by the Forest Department)
