The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is conducting a Nine-Day celebration – the Sri Sri Jagannath Dev Rath Yatra with special arrangements and tight security in Bangladesh.
Dhaka streets are set for the Yatra, as the procession will be stopping at several points and key locations around the city. The ISKCON priest confirmed that the Rath Yatra will be commencing on Friday, 27 June, at 3.00 PM.
“Rath Yatra is one of the most important festivals in Sanatan Dharma. ISKCON has organised various programmes in Dhaka this year to mark the occasion,” he said and added that “Rath Yatra is a joyful event filled with devotion, harmony, and the chanting of Harinama.”
While the procession starts from 3.00 PM on Friday, the return journey of the chariot procession will begin on Saturday, connecting all the routes backwards from 3.00 PM.
Rath Yatra Route and Locations
The ISKCON Rath Yatra will begin from the Swamibag Ashram and will pass through the following key locations in Dhaka:

- Ittefaq Intersection
- Shapla Chattar
- Dainik Bangla Intersection
- Baitul Mukarram Mosque (north side)
- Paltan Intersection
- Press Club
- Kadam Foara
- High Court Shrine
- Doel Chattar
- Shaheed Minar
- Jagannath Hall
- Palasi Intersection
- Ending at Dhakeshwari Temple
