Bangladesh has faced some troubling internet and digital connectivity through their ingrown local companies with the primary connectivity method being limited, in comes Elon Musk’s Starlink with satellite internet and broader connectivity.
The Starlink initiative by the Bangladesh Interim government brought in more digital freedom as Musk started the trial run in the country from April 2025 with the goal of becoming a commercial and sought after network in Bangladesh within three months.

The internet speed of Starlink in Bangladesh is reported to be high in the few months of the trial run with average speed being 100 Mbps and the highest noted to be 230 Mbps. The download speed is recorded from 25 to 220 Mbps and upload speed reaching 20 Mbps and the lowest of 5 Mbps.
