The Government Declares Tomorrow as ‘Mourning Day’. Will Banks Be Available?

On 22 July 2025, will be commemorated as the one day ‘National Mourning Day’ which has been declared by the interim government of Bangladesh. Following the disastrous crash of the Bangladesh Air Force Training Aircraft at the Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara on 21 July 2025. To remember the victims of this event, and the multiple fatalities & injuries caused by this incident. 

As per the given information the national flag will be hoisted and flown at half-mast in all the government, semi-government, private buildings, Bangladeshi mission abroad and both autonomous & government aided educational institution establishments. 

Will the Bank Operate?

As of now, there are no such official announcements or statements regarding the operations of the bank. So, it is clear that both the bank and public services will remain operational during the ‘Mourning Day’.
