Do you receive spam messages to your phone every day? Mobile users in Bangladesh face repeated and frequent promotional text messages which can be bothersome and distracting. In response, mobile operators developed a ‘Do Not Disturb’ (DND) service that allows customers to limit promotional SMS easily in Bangladesh by dialling a number.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has enforced a requirement for operators to provide this particular service. It only takes a few seconds to activate it on your phone.

Users will have to dial the respective number based on the mobile operator, Grameenphone users dial 1211101#, Banglalink users dial 1218*6# and Robi and Airtel users dial *7#. After the service is activated you will no longer receive unwanted text message promotions.

This service offers relief from marketing spam and prevents your inbox from becoming cluttered.  If you receive promotional messages after activating DND, please call your mobile operator to report it.  Take control of your phone today and begin to stop the spam messages with this DND service!
