The AirlineRatings website is one of the few websites that calculates and rates the safety and product rating of airlines and has now announced the Safest Airlines in 2025. Depending on several criteria, the rankings are made after monitoring 385 airlines.
Some of the criterias that led for Air New Zealand to trump Qantas and others is by margins but the advantage of having a younger fleet and sharing the standards for safety and pilot training among the top competitors. The rest of the rankings are also based on safety standards, pilot training, fleet strength and age factor along with the number of incidents in recent times.
