Tigers once again roared back with a humongous victory that silenced the critics and criticism thrown at the team, their coordination and their performances after every match. The final decider match took place yesterday at R.Premadasa Stadium. The game began with the toss won by skipper Charith Asalanka and they chose to bat first.

Nissanka’s dashing opening 46 runs, Shanaka’s 35 and the hope of 21 runs of Mendis helped their team to cross the total above 100. Yet, the total of 132 was a below par score for the T20 standards. The second innings began with the consistent batting of Bangladesh’s top-order batsmen including Hasan, Litton Das and Hridoy.

Bangladesh reached their target of 133 with four more overs and three balls left to play. With this victory they made history by lifting a T20 series trophy for the first time in their cricket at the land of Sri Lankan soil. This milestone is a catalyst to the Tigers to push forward their games in the future and to shape their team in a better way.
