The International Cricket Council (ICC) will also visit Dhaka to have a final one-on-one meeting with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and resolve the issue of participation of Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2026. The conference follows the fears voiced by Bangladesh about the safety of players to play in India, which was to be held in a matter of urgency by the ICC before the tournament commenced on February 7.

The ICC delegation will have direct discussions with the officials of BCB following the previous discussions which have not yielded any consensus. Although ICC has ensured security, the BCB is still skeptical, and hence this meeting is significant to the participation of Bangladesh T20 World Cup. An ultimate ruling is likely to be reached in the near future, because the international authority does not want to disrupt the tournament program.
