Because it was not a path of red roses for them after undergoing some internal conflicts and other hurdles to anchor their position both on the national and international football tournaments. And a monumental achievement has been etched on the history by these Bangladesh Women’s football team by debuting into the AFC Women’s Asian Cup tournament in 2026 edition. By dominating the qualifiers and defeating their top-tier opponents Bahrain and Myanmar through their spellbinding coordinative team work.
Though a match left in the qualifiers they sealed their position and the key contributors for this milestone are Ritu Porna Chakma, Sabina Khatun (the inspiring captain behind all these commanding form), and the backbone of the team coach, Saiful Bari Titu whose critical and tactical guidance took them to the pages of history.

The tournament process states that around 12 teams will be participating in this game, so far five teams have been officially qualified for this.
