DPL 2024-2025: Partex defeats Shinepukur & saves their position in the table

The first relegation match in DPL (Dhaka Premier League) 2024-2025 kicked off on 18 April 2025 between Partex and Shinepukur at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. And the league comprises of six matches in which each of the four teams will play three games with each other. It is played like a mini-tournament among the lower ranked teams. Depending on the results a team would be demoted to the lower position for the next season. Eventually, the bottom two will not get a chance to play in the first division cricket league. 

And, today’s match became a fortune to Partex even though the toss had been won by the Shinepukur Cricket Club and chose to field first. Initially, Partex were struggling to anchor the partnership when their openers failed by losing their wickets quickly. But they bounced back swiftly and scored 264/7 runs at the end of 50 overs and Shinepukur landed with confidence that they will definitely snatch the win and make their spot safe on the table. All their dreams slipped away from the victory which were just a few more shots away and they ended up with 245 of all the 10 wickets gone. 

Partex Club secured a safe place with this terrific 19 runs victory and their Rubel Mia whose significant century earned him the “Player of the Match” award at the end.
