Hamza Choudhury, 27 year old midfielder is gonna make history by playing for Bangladesh against India Today March 25 2025 in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers. Hamza, born in Loughborough, England to a Grenadian father and a Bangladeshi mother.

His rise wasn’t easy. For 20 years, British Asians had been missing from the English top flight until Hamza burst on the scene. Up until his transfer to Sheffield United in January, he was the only British Asian in the Premier League demonstrating that talent and persistence triumphs over any cultural restrictions and societal expectations.

Although he represented England’s U-21 national team, Hamza took a very big step in the direction of his heritage, he opted to play for Bangladesh at the senior level.
