The India tour of Bangladesh that was initially set to happen in August 2025 is now postponed to be held in September 2026. The White Ball Tour holds Three ODIs and Three T20 games.
While it was rumoured and speculated that the white ball tour of Bangladesh was likely postponed for political reasons, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has discussed and scheduled the series for 2026 due to scheduling issues and other commitments.
The new dates and venues will be announced later as both the cricket boards are now rescheduling the series to ensure the fixture happens and the teams have enough time for preparations and managing their cricket calendars.
“This decision has been reached following discussions between the two Boards, taking into account the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams,” BCCI said in their press release.
The Bangladesh board gave a statement that read, “The BCB looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026 for this eagerly anticipated series. Revised dates and fixtures for the tour will be announced in due course.”
