India and Pakistan are now in the spotlight of the world and the people across diverse nations are keen on what is and will happen between these two countries after the launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’ by India at the terrorist camps in Pakistan. People and countries around these two nations are concerned and Bangladesh’s Cricket Board are worried about their players Rashid and Nahid who have gone to Pakistan to take part in PCL 2025 edition.
As per the given information on the Prothom Alo, the PCB has confirmed that both the players are safe to BCB Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan,
“We have spoken to the cricketers and the Bangladesh High Commissioner. We are also in touch with the PCB. They (Rishadh and Nahid) are safe now.”
Regarding their homeland he added that, “It will depend on (the situation). There has only been one development. It is not yet clear what the situation is.”
These continued regional tensions might have its effect in the upcoming national and international cricket events involving Bangladesh and Pakistan in a T20 series and also India in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup tournament.
