Who Could Participate?
This program is for children between the ages of 12 and 14 years. Participants must be born between May 2, 2012 and May 2, 2014, to qualify. Registration was open until April 27 and required a handful of basic documents—like a verified birth certificate, a school certificate, a passport-size photo and a guardian’s ID. The idea was to keep it structured but still accessible to students from all backgrounds.

Football, cricket (T10 format), kabaddi, athletics, badminton, chess, martial arts and swimming will be the sports provided for the participants. Separate categories for boys and girls ensure both have equal opportunities to shine. This diverse mix also reflects a larger goal of finding talent outside of the mainstream sports world and giving recognition to up-and-coming disciplines.
How the Competition Will Play Out
Notun Kuri Sports 2026 has a structure designed to filter and nurture talent step by step. It starts at the level of upazila, where the first selections are made. Players selected then proceed to district rounds and then to regional competition in 10 zones. The best will then qualify for the national level at Dhaka. This is a fast-paced, competitive adventure, with regional rounds tentatively scheduled between May 13 and May 22.
More than Medals
Trophies aren’t the be-all and end-all of winning here. The performers will receive medals, certificates and most importantly, priority opportunities for training at BKSP (Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan). For many youth athletes, this could be the game-changer that changes their entire career path.
