Police Awaiting Autopsy Report

Police officials said the death is currently being treated as an “unnatural death” case, which is standard procedure when the exact cause is not immediately clear. Investigators have also mentioned that there is an initial suspicion of cardiac arrest or another medical emergency.

However, authorities stressed that the final cause of death can only be confirmed after the postmortem examination is completed.

The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Officials said the medical report will determine whether the death occurred naturally or if any other circumstances were involved.

Official Yet to Issue Public Statement

Reports indicate that Naren Dhar was originally from the Indian state of Haryana. However, no additional personal details have been officially released so far.

At the time of reporting, the Indian mission had not issued a detailed public statement regarding the incident. Diplomatic staff are understood to be cooperating with local law enforcement authorities during the investigation.

No Confirmation of Foul Play

The death has attracted attention because it occurred within a diplomatic compound, but investigators have not indicated any confirmed signs of foul play at this stage.

Police officials have urged caution against speculation until the autopsy findings become available. Available reports currently point only toward a possible medical cause, though the investigation remains open.

Why the Incident Matters

Deaths occurring inside diplomatic premises are treated with heightened sensitivity because of their international and security implications. As a result, both Indian and Bangladeshi authorities are expected to closely monitor the findings of the investigation.

The case also comes at a time when diplomatic coordination between the two neighbouring countries remains important on several regional issues.

Summary

Indian mission official Naren Dhar was found dead inside the Indian Assistant High Commission premises in Chattogram. Police have launched an investigation, while preliminary reports suggest a possible cardiac arrest. The final cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report is released.
