Who Jonsson Is Playing
Jonsson steps into the role of Toussaint, also known as T’Challa II, the son of T’Challa introduced by his mother Nakia, played by Lupita Nyong’o, in a post-credits scene of 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Since that reveal, fans have speculated for years over who might eventually take on the mantle, with names like Damson Idris also circulating before Jonsson’s casting was confirmed. In Wakanda Forever, Wright’s character Shuri became Black Panther after her brother’s death, following a script rewrite prompted by Boseman’s passing in 2020.
Black Panther III Release Date
Marvel confirmed that Black Panther III is set for release on December 15, 2028. Coogler, whose original 2018 Black Panther became the first superhero film nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide, returns to the franchise he built. Its 2022 sequel went on to earn roughly $850 million globally.
