Coke Studio Bangla returned with its fourth season on 23 May 2026, after a six-month hiatus after Season 3, which ended with Runa Laila’s “Mast Qalandar” in November 2025. Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, the musician, is returning for the fourth consecutive season as music curator, continuing the franchise’s hallmark style of blending traditional Bengali folk and classical arrangements with contemporary sounds.
“Coca-Cola Bangladesh has confirmed that in the season there will be a total of eight standalone tracks, each of which will be based on a different emotional theme.
“Room Jhoom” Starts The Season With A Tribute To Nazrul
The season kicked off with “Room Jhoom”, a reinterpretation of Nazrul Sangeet, released before the birth anniversary of poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on May 25. The song is a rendition of the Ottoman-Turkish folk song “Üsküdar’a Gider İken,” which Nazrul had previously transformed into a Bengali monsoon-themed poem decades ago. Produced by veteran producer Shuvendu, the 2026 edition featured performers from Bangladesh and Turkey, including vocalists Hande Çevgel, Mustafa İpek, Mahtim Shakib and Nusrat Jahan.
“This is a very personal collaboration,” said vocalist Nusrat Jahan, adding that the track’s producer has been a mentor to her and her brother since they were kids. Fellow debuting vocalist Mahtim Shakib also shared his thoughts on the experience.“It has been a really special experience being a part of ‘Room Jhoom.’
“Megh” – A Classical Monsoon Anthem
The second release, “Megh”, was released on 28th June, as a tribute to the spirit of Ashar, the second month of the Bengali calendar, when monsoon begins. The track is a collaboration between Arnob and classical vocalist-composer Mohammed Shoeb, based on the monsoon raag, Mian Ki Malhar. “The song was inspired by the literary works of Rabindranath Tagore and modern spoken-word elements, and it tapped into the themes of anticipation and renewal long associated with the rainy season in South Asian culture.
“Patar Bashori” A Folk Romance
The third track, Patar Bashori, sung by Ishaan and Sunidhi Nayak, was released on July 26. The song, written and composed by Ishaan and produced by Adit Rahman, is a tale of a lover entranced by the sound of a beloved’s flute, exploring themes of longing and restraint through poetic lyricism and a contemporary arrangement.
The accompanying music video was shot in the historic Sonargaon, and uses the old-world setting to reinforce the romantic, timeless feel of the song.

Season Hallmark: Cross-Border Collaboration Continues
Season 4 is continuing what has been a defining feature of Coke Studio Bangla – pairing Bangladeshi artists with international performers. Pre-season reports had hinted that the line-up would also feature Anupam Roy, a singer-songwriter from West Bengal, making a comeback to the franchise a decade after his appearance on Coke Studio India. Other artists in the season are Moushumi Akter Salma, Shobhandeb Das and band Meghdol.
What Happens Next
So far, three of eight planned tracks have been released, with five more songs expected to roll out in the coming months as production continues on a staggered schedule. The Bangladeshi edition, launched in 2022 and inspired by the Coke Studio franchises in Pakistan and India, has earned a reputation for blending folk heritage with modern production values, although some critics have noted its similarity to sister shows in the region. For now, Season 4 seems poised to carry on with that formula, one raag, one folk revival and one cross-border pairing at a time.
Summary: Coke Studio Bangla’s fourth season premiered in May 2026, streaming with three releases so far, including an opener based on Nazrul Sangeet fusion, a monsoon collaboration rooted in classical raag, and a folk-romance duet shot in Sonargaon. Curated by Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, the season will see a total of eight songs and will have a strong focus on cross-border collaboration.
