Some crude bombs have exploded in various parts of Dhaka on Friday. The explosions resulted in injuries to three individuals as well as posed a security challenge for the city. According to the Daily Star newspaper, the bombs exploded in locations such as Malibagh, Mohakhali, Jatrabari, Babubazar, Moghbazar, Rampura, and New Market.
Injuries sustained by people from explosions
The explosions resulted in injuries in more than one location. While two people were injured from the explosion of crude bombs under the Babubazar flyover, another person was injured due to an explosion close to Jatrabari Police Station. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment, according to the report.
Several parts of the capital experienced explosions
It should be noted that the explosions took place in many parts of the city. Police reported explosions close to a bus stop in Malibagh just after Friday prayers. On the other hand, a crude bomb was thrown from the Mohakhali flyover and exploded close to the Amtoli intersection. Later, explosions were reported around Jatrabari, Babubazar, Moghbazar, Rampura, and New Market.

Bus set on fire near Kafrul Police Station
The security environment was further exacerbated by a bus that was torched in the vicinity of Kafrul Police Station later during the night. As stated by the police, the situation had been controlled, with no loss of life reported from the incident. According to The Daily Star, crude bomb explosions had taken place at different places in Dhaka city.
Police investigation in process
Due to these incidents, the police became active in several areas in the city. As reported by The Daily Star, those behind these bomb blasts had not yet been identified, and no arrests had been made till then. It was a difficult security environment for the police on that Friday night in Dhaka.
