Tasnuva Tisha, a popular actress in Bangladesh, had a harrowing experience on a highway when her car was seriously damaged, but she and her friends managed to get away without any major injuries. The accident occurred as the actress was returning to the capital city, Dhaka, after successfully completing a drama shooting schedule in the scenic town of Srimangal.
As her private car was moving on the Bhairab Bridge and coming around the Bhairab Toll Plaza, a pickup van coming at high speed hit her car head-on. The driver of the pickup van did not stop to check on the damage or check on the occupants but instead sped away from the scene in a hit and run leaving the scene. “While crossing the Bhairab Bridge and the toll plaza, a pickup van hit our vehicle from the front and sped away,” Tisha said about the harrowing experience soon after the accident, giving her version of the accident.
The Chase and Abandonment of the Car
Things became dramatic immediately after the crash because Tisha’s driver did not want to let the driver who caused the crash go away without paying for his deeds. While under pressure, the driver wasted no time in securing a motorbike to initiate a chase, pursuing the speeding pick-up van along the highway corridor.
The chase ended at a neighbourhood market, where the driver was able to box in the vehicle attempting to escape. The driver of the pickup van realised he was about to get caught, so he suddenly abandoned his vehicle in the marketplace and fled the scene on foot, leaving the keys behind. The local Highway Police station was officially notified of the crash, and the abandoned vehicle and officers from the station arrived on the scene a short time later.

Actress Goes Live: “Shaken, But Safe”
In a live video broadcast on Facebook shortly after the incident, Tasnuva Tisha sought to directly inform her concerned fans, friends and family. She told her side of the story during the broadcast and said she was so relieved none of the people travelling with her had been critically injured in the serious collision.
“It was a very bad wreck. We did it, but it was a close one. “The car is in bad shape,” she said in the live video stream. She did say that the crash overall was terrifying, but confirmed officially that all of her teammates who travelled with her made it out without serious bodily injuries, emphasising how lucky they were given the force of the impact.
Investigation, extent of damage and public response
Official reports have confirmed the actress’s personal car was extensively and severely damaged, but the precise cost and details of the damage have not been released to the public. The abandoned pickup van found at the market site has been taken into the custody of Local Highway Police authorities, who have formally started a full investigation into the hit-and-run incident.
